CICV 2022 announces Seigo Kuzumaki as Keynote Speaker

CICV 2022, the 9th International Congress of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles Technology, has announced Fellow of Advanced R&D and Engineering Company, TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION , Seigo Kuzumaki as its keynote speaker.

Seigo Kuzumaki received his Ph. M. in Aeronautical Engineering from University of Kyoto in 1985. He is now a Fellow at Advanced R&D and Engineering Company of TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION. He is a specialist of vehicle safety.

Since 2016, He was appointed as a Program Director for SIP-adus, or Cross-ministerial Strategic Innovation Promotion Program ‘Automated driving systems’ at Cabinet Office, Government of Japan.

Seigo Kuzumaki’s keynote speech will address the Connected automated driving, Government-industry-academia cooperation, Safety assurance, Simulation platform and use cases during his speech on Strategic Innovation Promotion Program for Connected Automated Driving Systems in Japan ; SIP-adus.

SIP-adus, or Cross-ministerial Strategic Innovation Promotion Program is a cross-ministerial R&D program on automated driving systems(ADS) led by the Japan government. Government-Industry-academia tackle a various issue such as R&D, regulation reform, public acceptance creation, international cooperation for realization of ADS together. Second SIP-adus focused on cooperative R&D themes such as Traffic Dynamic Map, Connected, Safety assurance, Cybersecurity, and so on. In this plenary session, our challenge for traffic environmental data establishment and simulation platform development for safety assurance will be explained.

Drawing on examples in the US and Europe, he says its potential will be achieved when combined with ride sharing and multimodal applications to take advantage of infrastructure.
